Why “DAO” — and what it does not mean for clients
“DAO” describes how we work internally: long-term professional partnerships, shared responsibility, and aligned incentives among senior contributors.
For clients, this simply means a stable, accountable team. It does NOT involve decentralized governance, token-based decisions, community-driven delivery, or unclear ownership.
Client work follows a managed-team model, not decentralized governance. Delivery is led by a co-founder who is directly accountable, with clear contracts and straightforward, one-to-one communication.
How the company is formed
Teams compensated directly, not through salary arbitrage.
FiRA DAO operates as a company, but with a different internal model than most agencies. Most agencies pay developers $$/hour in salary, charge clients $$$$/hour, and keep the difference. We don't do that.
We assemble a specific team for your project. Each team member sets their rate based on their expertise. You pay those rates directly. We add 5% for assembling the team, project management, and founder accountability.
This model creates three outcomes:
- ✅ ~95% of your budget goes to people building your product, not agency overhead
- ✅ Team members earn well when they deliver quality work — aligned incentives
- ✅ No agency-managed staff rotation — teams stay on your project because they're compensated from your paycheck proportionally.
- ✅ One founder accountable on every engagement, compensated fairly for leadership
You contract with FiRA DAO as a single legal entity—one contract, one invoice, one point of accountability. Team members sign NDAs and assume the same responsibilities as traditional employees would. The difference is in how they're compensated, not in your legal protection or who's responsible for delivery.

We built FiRA DAO differently because we work primarily with bootstrapped founders and profitable companies building complex platforms, who can't afford to waste time on partner that doesn't understand the regulatory landscape or made architecture decisions that block the features you need for your business model.
